We all want our computers to run at full speed. But most computers don’t get their full speed. Because we don’t get the full speed of our computer due to some random settings. Today I will talk about some computer settings that can make your computer faster.

Disable Transparency Effects
For this tip and the others coming up, we’ll be starting here on the desktop screenshot.
While the visual effect and animations do make windows 11 look better, They do use up system resources making your computer slower.
First, you need to of those transparency effects that are used in the start menu and taskbar.
To do that open the settings app.
1. left click the menu and select it from your pinned apps or right-clicking the start menu and select it from the list.
2. use your keyboard shortcut which is the windows key + I
3. On the left select personalization then go to color on the right and then click on the toggle of transparency effect, turn them off.
Change The Visual Effect Setting
Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type “view advance system setting” now open the application. Now you should be in the advance tab and in the performance section, click on Settings.
Now click on the circle with “Adjust for best performance”, now you will see no longer checked. You need to check the box “Show thumbnail instead of icon” And if you don’t want your fonts to be blurry check the box next to “Smooth edge of screen fonts”.
Disable Startup Programs
Performance issues may result from the applications and programs that launch when you turn on your computer. Open “Settings” to optimize your boot times and save up resources.
- On the left select “Apps” and on the right select “Startup”.
Now that your computer boots up, you can see everything that is enabled or disabled. Look for the program you don’t need at startup and click on the toggle for those that are turned on to turn them off. Only disable those that you are positively certain you won’t need at launch.

There are quite a few listed here; browse the list to identify the one you don’t wish to have running in the background.

Disabling it to turn off services related to Xbox in the background and stop the game DVR all the others.
Disable VBS
There are claims that the new virtualization-based security feature in Windows 11 is resulting in performance decreases of up to 25% if you’re a gamer.
To disable VBS click on the Start menu and type “Core isolation”. For many of you, it’s preferable to leave this new feature switched on because it’s meant to stop dangerous code. But if you are a gamer wanting the best performance and feel confident about your computer’s security, you can turn it off.
Restart And Updates
There may be times when windows 11 does not load properly and makes your computer slower, it’s rare but it does happen. Restarting your computer will typically cure the issue. To restart windows 11 click the Start menu and then click on the Power icon, in the lower right and select “Restart”.
If your PC is performing slowly, updating Windows, which may include bug patches, is a smart place to start. To check for updates open “Setting” on the left side at the very bottom and select “Windows update”. If there is an update available install it, if not click on “Check for update”. And there might be an update that can solve your issues.
