To know this, you have to follow the instructions in the above picture.

  • Open your Excel sheet
  • Go to the “Review” tab
  • If you see the marked red box with the text “Unprotect Sheet“, Then you’ll understand it’s a password-protected sheet. ( Example in Picture 1 )

Let’s think our sheet name is “Make Me Skilled“. In this Excel, we will remove the password of the “Sheet 1” tab. As we already saw in picture no 3, the “Sheet 1” tab is protected by password, and the “Sheet 2” tab is not protected. So we will remove password from “Sheet 1“.

  • First, make a copy of your sheet. To do that select your file and click on copy and paste it to the same folder.
  • As you can see in picture 4, we have made a copy. Now select the file and click on “Rename“. You will need to change the extension type. 
  • Remove the word called “xlsx
  • Then type “zip

For example please see picture 5 below.

  • After typing “zip” press Enter. Now see you have changed the extension type. ( make sure you haven’t deleted the { . }, Just change the word xlsx > zip )
  • The file name was “Make Me Skilled – Copy.xlsx
  • Now the file name is “Make Me Skilled – Copy.zip

If you can’t see your file type that means you haven’t enabled to see file name extension. ( Only showing “Make Me Skilled” after you enable file type extension you can see “Make Me Skilled.xlsx” ) To enable file type

After you change the “xlsx” file type to “zip” you’ll need a zip file opener software to open this file. You can use Winrar or 7Zip. Click here to download Winrar And 7Zip.

  • After downloading and installing the zip opener software, now open the zip file called “Make Me Skilled – Copy.zip
  • After opening the file click on the folder called “xl

  • Now type “protect” on the popup box. 
  • you’ll see a text that is “<sheetProtection

  • Select all text that started from “<sheetProtection” and end from “/>” 
  • Please carefully select these texts. After selecting these texts,
  • Press “BackSpace” from your keyboard.

  • Select the Zip file and click on “Rename
